Our Story

Martin Farm Equipment was born in 1965, when Jim Martin purchased a small John Deere dealership just off Argyll Road in Edmonton. Those humble beginnings in a two-stall service station lead to growth throughout the sixties and seventies, and soon enough, Martin Equipment operated dealerships accross western Canada.

In 2003, Martin Motor Sports made its debut. We wanted to take some of the principles of authenticity, excellence and passionate ownership we learned from John Deere and apply them to the marine and powersports industries in a big way. We knew that recreation and agriculture weren't as different as most would think - just as a farmer depends on quality equipment and efficient service to get his crops on and off the field, a boater relies on industry experts and top notch service to squeeze every last drop of sunshine and moment of family time out of our Canadian summers. We know that those small moments are what matter the most, and that's why we're here to support you any way we can. We prioritize programs including 24-hour parts & service access, highly trained & certified staff, and well vetted products. We're committed to carrying the best products in our industries, and we stand behind them.

More than fifty years later, Martin Deerline & Martin Motor Sports now span western Canada with 15 rooftops, but our core values of honesty, integrity and always going the extra mile for our clients remain the same.
